Services for Elmer L. Ridley, 85, of Junction City, KS will be at Johnnson Funeral Chapel, Monday, April 8, 2002, at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Darel Boston of the First Christian Church will officiate. Mr. Ridley died April 5, 2002 at Geary Community Hospital. Visitation Time will be Sunday, April 7, 2002,at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel, burial will be at White City Cemetery, White City, KS. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Family and will be designated at a later date. Mr. Ridley was born May 30, 191Rossville,GA to Sam and Maggie (Teasley) Ridley. He married Irene Helen (Wernecke) December 6, 1943, MI, she preceded him in death January 5, 1985. Employment & Biography: Elmer had been a resident of Junction City since 1946, he had served in
the U.S. Army, then worked for Civil Service in the motor pool as a mechanic at Camp Funston, he retired in 1974. He was a member of the Eagles Club. Survivors include Good Friend; Irene Junghans of Junction City, KS; Two Sons: Ronald Ridley and wife Darca of Milford, KS, Daniel Ridley and wife Brenda of Manhattan, KS; One Daughter: Judy Powell and husband Michael of Copperas Cove, TX; Six grandchildren; Jack Marshall, Kenneth Marshall, Lorissa Charowhas, Rob Ridley, Brad Ridley, and Krystal Ridley; Seven Great-Grandchildren; and One Great-Great Grandchild. Preceded In Death By: Parents, One Brother, Three Sisters and One grandson. Casket bearers: Don Kell, Larry Glessner, Tony Glessner, Ricky Glessner, Val Taylor and Karl Winslow. Organist, Judy Heintz
