Ello Jackson

Funeral Services for SFC (Ret) Ello Jackson, 83, of Junction City, KS will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 Washington Street. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary's Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Jackson passed away January 21, 2008 at Salina Regional Medical Center, Salina, KS. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be given to the Disabled American Veterans, VA Hospital-Bldg. #25, Rm. 1066, 2200 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka, Kansas 66222.

Mr. Jackson was born June 18, 1924, in Chicago, Ill, the son of Sidney and Mary (Weems) Jackson.



Mr. Jackson served in the United States Army. He served during Vietnam having retired from the Army in 1972. He later worked for the Civl Service as a Supply Supervisor for fifteen years before retiring.



He married Susanna Ohlschlager July 15, 1961, in Mannheim, Germany.



Survivors include his wife Susanna of Junction City, KS, two sister-in-laws, Maria Mallory of Ayer, MA, Anneliese Bennett of Junction City, KS. He is also survived by two nieces Silvia Waters and her husband Frank of Chicago and Ramona Buechler of Germany.
