A Funeral Mass will be held for Ella Laura Woodward, 91, formerly of Junction City, KS Thursday, July 14, 2005 at 2 p.m. at St. Xavier's Catholic Church with Father Al Brungardt officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Woodward passed away July 11, 2005 at the Bluffs Nursing Home, Columbia, MO.
Mrs. Woodward was born January 15, 1914 in Miltonvale, KS to George and Georgiana (Chaput) Hebert. She married Frank Woodward June 5, 1934 he preceded her in death July 1, 1958. She lived most of her life in Junction City, KS, where all of her children were born and raised.
Following her husband's passing, Mrs. Woodward became employed by Montgomery Ward and Gibson's where she worked as a department manager until age 75. She was active in the community and schools and taught citizenship classes for several years. She was a member of the St. Xavier Catholic Church and had in previous years been a member of the Senior Center Country Line Dancing Group.
She is survived by one son, Dennis Woodward of Dayton, OH, three daughters, Kay Woodward Kintner of Manhattan, KS, Faye Woodward Crow of Columbia, MO and Debra Woodward Myers of Fort Worth, TX, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, two sisters, Velda Morrissette of Concordia, KS and Aileen Jacobs of Wichita, KS.
Pallbearers will be John Crow, Gaylon Kintner, Kelly Crow, Kurt Kintner, Kirby Crow and Ron Breck.
Organist will be Joan Keating and Vocalist will be Anita Hernandez
