Elijah Michael Carter-Salisbury, 15, Fort Riley, KS passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012, at the Irwin Army Community Hospital. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012, at the New Church of the Living God with Pastor James Johnson officiating. A visitation will be held 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2012, at the New Church of the Living God. Cremation has taken place.
Elijah was born October 16, 1996, in Norfolk, VA the son of Macon A. and Melonie L. Carter Salisbury.
Elijah would have been a junior this coming school year at Junction City High School. He participated in football, JROTC, TASMAD, and the debate team at Junction City High School. He helped coach soccer. He was a member of the New Church of the Living God where he helped volunteer in the nursery. He enjoyed playing video games and spending time with his family and dog Patches.
He is survived by his parents Macon and Melonie, one sister, Amayah Carter-Salisbury and two brothers, Marquis and Michael Randolph both of Virginia Beach, VA; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Marilyn Carter of Virginia Beach, VA and his paternal grandmother, Bonnie Salisbury of Crozet, VA. He is also survived by a host of family and friends.
