Elijah had a rough start in life being born sickly but he fought and grew and through the many prayers and loving people in his life he grew up. Both of his parents had issues that caused him to be raised by extended family and close friends in his formative years; one of the most significant being Willie Sue Cunningham. Elijah was a friendly and loveable young man. He longed for a close relationship with his mother but due to the divorce of his parents, resulting in custody being given to his father who had extreme religious differences, he was deprived of that relationship. His Maternal Grandparents did what they could to help him maintain some level of contact with his mother. He attended school in the Junction City School system. Although he did not graduate he did obtain his GED. Elijah loved his family and reached out to them as often as he could. Elijah accepted Christ in his life as a child while attending Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church. Unfortunately Elijah became entangled with the justice system where he has spent his adult life. He was devastated by the sudden death of his Mother and his inability to be present for her funeral. Elijah struggled to maintain relationships with his Father and Brother and extended family. His one constant relationship has been his Aunt Doris, she has been a source of comfort and spiritual guidance through the years Life circumstances and personal choices cut his life short and we will never know what his life could have been.
