Edith "Jeanne" Hendryx

Edith "Jeanne" Coy Hendryx, 69, of Junction City passed away on January 4, 2010, at Chapman Valley Manor. A memorial service will take place at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel 203 N. Washington on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. with Father Al Brungardt officiating.

Mrs. Hendryx was born on August 8, 1940, in Rush, NY to Edward G. and Ora H. (Bailey) Lyke. She graduated from Wahiawa High School in Hawaii. She married Ronald W. Coy on October 19, 1963, in Cameron Mills, NY. They moved to Junction City in 1977. He preceded her in death in 1983. She later married Steven L. Hendryx and he preceded her in death in 1991. Mrs. Hendryx was a homemaker and also worked for Waters Tru-Value Hardware in the 1980s.

She is survived by her children, William J. Coy and wife Katherine of Wichita, KS; Robert G. Coy and wife Kimberly, Ralph A. Coy and Fern Coy-Rodgers and husband Jason all of Junction City. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald W. Coy, Jr. in 2008. In addition she is survived by six grandchildren, Allison Coy, Danielle, Rylee and Christopher Coy and Jeanne and Jeremy Rodgers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, son, and siblings Ira Lemphier, Harley Lemphier, Donald Karns, Edward (Pete) Lyke, Eleanor Deal, Florence M. Bloom, Dorothy E. Bacon and Pauline A. Lewis.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
