E. Darwin Murphy, 84, of Junction City, KS passed away on January 7, 2018, at Geary Community Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 9:30am followed by Funeral Services at 10:00am at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 805 Caroline Ave., Junction City, Kansas, with Pastor Ronnie Roberts officiating.
Burial at Wreford Cemetery will follow services.

Darwin was born on February 20, 1933, at his family home in Ellis County, Kansas to Forest and Cora Mae (Finch) Murphy. He grew up in Covert, Kansas and graduated from Covert High School in 1951. He tried his hand at farming for a few years. He then hired on with United Telephone Company in Russell, Kansas. He retired from the company in 1987.
On May 24, 1953, he married Betty Lou Miller in Osborne, Kansas. Betty and Darwin lived in Covert, Kansas. They ultimately settled in Junction City, Kansas in 1971.
Darwin was an avid hunter, fisherman, farmer, and all around outdoorsman. He was a member of The Angus Association of Kansas.
He is survived by his loving Family: Two Daughters, Kathy (Kenny) Upham of Junction City, KS and Cindy (Mike) Gardner of Junction City, KS; Son, Darrel Murphy of Junction City, KS; Sister, Dina Fae Conn of Osborne, KS; 11 Grandchildren and 20 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cora Mae and Forest Jack Murphy, wife, Betty Lou Murphy, son, Darren Murphy, two brothers, Darrel Murphy and Doyle Murphy, and sister, Darlene Buhrle.
