Douglas A. Shrewsbury, 51, Junction City, KS passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at his home. Cremation has taken place. A graveside inurnment service will be 10:00 am Monday, February 20, 2012, at Highland Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Junction City Blue Jays Athletic Booster Club, c/o Junction City High School, 900 N. Eisenhower, Junction City, KS 66441 or to the Friends of Animals, P.O. Box 580, Junction City, KS 66441.
Douglas was born February 8, 1961, in Junction City the son of Daniel E. and Judith C. (Wyss) Shrewsbury.
Douglas worked for Kings Moving and Storage as a packer for many years. He was an avid KSU and Junction City Blue Jay fan. He enjoyed spending time with his dog Kodiak.
He is survived by one brother, Scott Shrewsbury of Junction City and a friend Michelle Gawrych of Junction City.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Keith.
