Graveside services for Dorothy M. Steppe, 83, Junction City will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2007 at Highland Cemetery with Pastor Jim Bond officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 9 a.m. until time of service at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline. Mrs. Steppe passed away November 12, 2007 at Good Samaritan Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Nazarene, 1315 W. Ash, Junction City, KS 66441.
Dorothy was born May 21, 1924 in Junction City, KS the daughter of Clarence and Flora (Kessinger) McDonald. She lived in Spokane, Washington for forty one years and and had lived in Junction City since 1977. She was a homemaker. Dorothy was a member of the Nazarene Church and Eagles Auxiliary #830
She was married to Paul Steppe March 25, 1946 in Leavenworth,KS. He preceded her in death March 8, 1999.
Other survivors include two sisters; Betty L. McKaig, Junction City, KS, and Wilma Woodworth of Newark, DE; and a brother Orville McDonald, Hollister, MO. and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, brother Clarence "Buddy" McDonald and Sister Evelyn Thompson.
