Funeral services for Dorothy M. Leslie, 92, formerly of Junction City, KS will be 10 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2008 at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue with Reverend Amy Truhe officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. No visitation will be held but a time of fellowship is planned at the Scherer Memorial Lutheran Church in Chapman, KS immediately following the burial. Mrs. Leslie passed away at Geary Community Hospital on January 2, 2008. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be given to the Scherer Memorial Lutheran Church, W. 5th and Broadway, Chapman, KS 67431.
Mrs. Leslie was born September 23, 1915, Dickinson County, KS to William P. and Edith (Lawrence) Oesterhaus. She married Fred Leslie May 10, 1946 he preceded her in death December 18, 1983. She had resided in Junction City since 1946 before moving to Chapman and was a homemaker and a member Scherer Memorial Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one son; James "Jim" Leslie and wife Lila of Salina, KS, one daughter; Jean Moore and husband Dick of Topeka, KS, five grandchildren; Fred Oliver, Janetta Smith, Maxine Rogers, Beverly Logan all of Salina, KS, and Donita Walton of Oklahoma City, OK and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Clyde Oesterhaus and Floyd Oesterhaus.
Pallbearers will be J.R. Oesterhaus, Gary Oesterhaus, Bill Moser, Doug Marston, Reginald Oesterhaus and Jerry Smith.
