Graveside inurnment services will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2010, at 10 a.m., at Ft. Riley Cemetery for Dorothy M. Gliniecki, 85, of Junction City, KS, who passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan, KS. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel is assisting the family with cremation services.
She was born on April 27, 1925, in Brillion, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edward Gieger and Mary (Fischer) Gieger.
She married Joseph F. Gliniecki on September 19, 1945 in Waukegan, Illinois.
She has been a resident since 1961 and was employed as a cook at various restaurants in Junction City, KS.
She is survived by her two sons; Joseph E. Gliniecki and Larry T. Gliniecki both of Junction City, KS, one daughter, Lois Powers of Williamsport, PA, two brothers; Ed Geiger and Ralph Geiger both of Sheboygan, WI, one sister, Margaret Vaughn of Sheboygan Falls, WI, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph F. Gliniecki, one sister, Magdalene and one grandson, David.
