Funeral services for Dorothy Don Roether, 74, Milford, KS will be 10:00am Friday, June 9, 2006 at Milford Congregational Church with Mike Lacer officiating, Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery. Mrs. Roether passed away June 2, 2006 at Geary Community Hospital. Visitation will be from 6:00pm-8:00pm Thursday, June 8, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Milford Congregational Church, P.O. Box 308, Milford, KS 66514 or to the Dorothy Don Roether Memorial Fund, % Farmers and Merchants Bank, P.O. Box 278, Wakefield, KS 67487.

Dorothy Don was born March 5, 1932 in Milford to Donald H. and Jennie M. (Warner) Bentz. She married Daniel E. Roether Jr. on April 12, 1952.

She was a lifelong resident of Milford. Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of Milford Congregational Church.

She is survived by two sons, Bradley Dave Roether and Daniel E. Roether III, both of Milford; two daughters, Tana Renee Patton and Diana Dawn Irvine, both of Chapman; and two sisters, Darlene Lacer- Hiatt of Junction City, and Charlotte Denver of Milford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Jeffrey Alan Roether.

Pallbearers will be Brad Roether, Jeffrey Roether, Zachery Roether, Daniel Roether, Logan Roether, William Irvine and Dan Woodland.

Honorary pallbearers will be Norma Johnston, Loree Christensen, Ruth Davis, Joy Shandy, Tami Love, Brenda Slaughter, and Nancy Hosler.

Musicians will be Rita Braden, organist, and Genae Denver, William Irvine, and Tara Wolf, vocalists.
