A Celebration of life for Dorothy "Dee" Bowling, 66, of Junction City will be held 5p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Fraternal Order of Eagle's Lodge, 203 E. 10th Street, Junction City, KS. Dorothy passed away on March 8, 2012.Cremation has taken place with the assistance of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 203 E. 10th Street, Junction City, KS 66441.
Dorothy Dee was born March 14, 1945, Columbia, SC to Royce L. and Dortha P. (Slaven) Harold. She married Marshall "Marty" Karmann August 29, 1963 and they had three sons. They later divorced and she married Ricky Wayne Bowling and they had a daughter. Ricky preceded her in death.
Dorothy Dee was owner and operator of Adam's Place for many years until turning it over to family in 2003. She then worked at the Corner Club until December of 2009. She was a member of the Eagle's Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Knight's of Columbus. She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren and she was an avid bowler.
She is survived by her sons; Mark and wife Jayne Karmann, Trent Karmann and Lance and Trisha Karmann all of Junction City, KS, one sister, Marlene Flowers (Larry) of Topeka, KS, one brother, Donald Harold (Francine) of Junction City, KS, seven grandchildren; Josh Lilly, Travis Lilly, Kalli Mariani, Deidra Karmann, Hannah Karmann, Thomas Karmann and Marshall Karmann, brother-in-laws, Warren Bowling (Georgina) of Junction City, KS and Eric Bowling (Tracy) of GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her friend and former husband Marty and her daughter Shyla Bowling and one brother Tommy Harold.
