Funeral services for Dorothy Faye Miller Allison, 86, of Junction City will be 10 a.m., Thursday, February 28, 2008 at the First Baptist Church with Reverend James Calloway officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Riley Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington. The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to the First Baptist Church, 624 N. Jefferson, Junction City, KS 66441.

Dorothy Miller Allison, well loved by family and all who knew her, passed into the loving arms of her Lord Saturday, February 23, 2008.

Dorothy F. Malone was born on December 23, 1921 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Claudy Fleet Malone and Lenora Hutchinson Malone.

Dorothy was a member of Junction City First Baptist Church where she was active in the Lydia Circle, American Baptist Women , Life Without a Mate and had served as the Church Memorial Recorder. Dorothy had been an employee of Montgomery Wards of Junction City.

From her marriage to Owen (Duke) Miller, Dorothy was blessed with two daughters Charlene Jackson (Jim) and Carol Renee Watkins (Ed) and their children Jim Jackson, Eddie Watkins and Charles Watkins., and their children. Dorothy felt twice blessed when her marriage to John Allison brought her his children Gary Allison, Marty Wolfe, Louis Allison, Dawn Russell and Jonna Allison, and their children and grandchildren to brighten her life with love and joy.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband Owen C. Miller who she married on December 26, 1941, her parents, her daughter Carol Renee, her brother Robert Malone and her second husband John K. Allison and son-in-law Jim Jackson.

Although Dorothy suffered many losses she still enjoyed the relationships with her brothers and sisters -in law, Bill and Mabel Miller, Laura Vaughan, Mitzi and Harold Mills, Bill and Marlene Allison, Gladys VanDrie, Ben & Shirley Ringo, Jim & Donna Allison, Bud & Mabel Allison, Kenny & Anna Allison, Gerald & JoAnne VanderWolde. She treasured the bond with her sister at heart, cousin Allene Webster. Dorothy is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dorothy will be remembered for her generosity of heart and being the epitome of " a Lady".

Florence Whitebread will be the organist and Gail Dye the vocalist.

Casketbearers are Dale Burris, Jerry Dye, Clayton Olson, Gordon Zoschke, David Guy and Ray Moreland.

Honorary Casketbearer will be Delbert Bryant.
