Dorothy A. Dea, 71, of Junction City passed away on October 13, 2010. A gathering of her family and friends to celebrate her life was held on Saturday, October 16, 2010. Cremation has taken place with the assistance of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Inurnment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date.
Mrs. Dea was born November 23, 1938, Philadelphia, PA to Richard J. and Gertrude L.(Freese) McDonald. She resided most of her life in Pennsylvania and moved to Junction City in 2002. She was a homemaker and also worked at Beacon Diner in Pennsylvania for many years before fully retiring. She was married to Joseph Dea he preceded her in death February 10, 1997.
Dorothy made it a priority to always find the perfect card for her loved ones never missing an occasion she made sure the card fit each individual.
Mrs. Dea is survived by two sons; Joseph Dea and wife Melissa of Philadelphia, PA, Francis Dea and wife Lora of Junction City, KS, one daughter, Geraldine Schuetrumpf and husband Ray of Tamaqua, PA, one brother, Hugh McDonald and one sister, Marie Bibby both of Philadelphia, PA, two granddaughters; Barbara Dea of Philadelphia, PA and Kimberly Nester of Orwigsburg, PA and two great-grandchildren Alexandria Nester and Wayne Renninger, III.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Richard McDonald.
