Doris Marks

Doris M. Marks, 71, of Junction City, KS died at her residence on Sept., 10, 2003. Services will be Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of God in Christ, 638 W. 13th, Junction, City, KS. Pastor George W. Price will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.

Doris was born August 23, 1932 at Kingsland, Arkansas to Emmitt and Ollie B. (Berry) Smith. She married Sammy Ray Marks, Sr. in 1951 at Flint, MI, he preceded her in death in 1974. She had lived in Junction City, KS since 1976 and worked as a LPN until her illness and was a member of the Church of God In Christ.

She is survived by One Son; Sammy Marks, Jr. of Milford, KS, Three Daughters; Cathy Marks Mihalko of Wiesbaden, Germany, Barbara Marks Jones and Beverly Marks both of Silversprings, MD, Two Sisters; Margie Smith Jacobs and Evelyn Smith Edwards both of Fordyce, AR, Sixteen Grandchildren, Nineteen Great-Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents and one son; Ruebin Marks

Pallbearers will be Jamarr Marks, Gerard Marks, Rashad Jones, Antwan Jones, Maurice Jones, Eric Marks, Charles Chamber, Charles Davis and Thomas Mihalko.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Demetrius Smith, Kenny Day, Jason Sales, Vincent Moore, Tracy Snipe and Mandriel Dixson.

Musicians will be Gabriel Sharp, Tempes Price and Frances Clark
