Doris "Jean" Malsbury, 83, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at home. Cremation will take place. Inurnment will be scheduled at a later date at Baker Cemetery near Burr Oak, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 223 Buckner Blvd # 250, Dallas, TX 75227, or Arthritis Foundation Topeka, 5339 SW 22nd Pl, Topeka, KS 66614.
She was born on April 3, 1939, in Cawker City, Kansas to Waunda (Fiero) and Gerald Stout.
On July 5, 1958, she married Arden Malsbury, in Long Beach, California. They were happily married for 64 years. Jean and Arden were blessed with three children; Bernita, Grady, and Eric.
Doris is survived by her loving husband, Arden; her three children, Bernita (Gary) Watts of Warrensburg, Missouri, Grady Malsbury of Junction City, Kansas, Eric (Carmen) Malsbury of Lexington, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Kimberly Watts of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Kelly (Corey) Ryan of Augusta, Kansas, Kristina (Thomas) Klug of Overland Park, Kansas, Erica Jefferys of Clayton, North Carolina ;one sister, Belita Ann (Marvin) Birzer of Felton, Delaware; four great grandchildren, Kip, Jackson, Lily, and Kerri; three nephews, Bill Laflin, Eli Birzer, and Shawn McPherson; and one niece, Laurie McPherson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters; Bonnie McPherson and Bethel Laflin.
