Donna G. Litney

Funeral Mass for Donna Gene Litney, 69, of Junction City will be held Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Xavier Catholic Church with Father Al Brungardt officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 1, 2006, 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel with rosary at 8:00 p.m. Mass services will also be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2006 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Del City, OK with burial at Sunnylane Cemetery. Mrs. Litney passed away October 29, 2006 at Geary Community Hospital.

Mrs. Litney was born June 21, 1937 at Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma to William S. and Buna L. (Hawkins) Gee, Sr. She graduated from Gracemont High School and attended Oklahoma Baptist University where she played women's basketball, she graduated from Rose State College with a degree in accounting.

She married James Litney December 15, 1956, who preceded her in death in 1983. She was a retired Senior Tax Auditor from the State of Oklahoma. She enjoyed seasonal work during tax time for K&S Tax service in Junction City. She was a member of St. Xavier's Catholic Church in Junction City and had been a long time parishioner of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Del City, OK.

Surving are her children, Robyn Smothers of Junction City, Theresa Janicki and husband Jim of Pensacola, FL, Tom Litney and wife Tami of Junction City, sisters; Pauline Holcomb of Oklahoma City, OK, Doreen Gee of Sherman Oaks, CA, grandchildren; Emily and Hailey McGhghy, Sherry Cheatwood, Carrie Fredrick, Mary and James Rutter, Jessica and Sam Janicki and Brian, Brice and Brook Litney, and eight great-grandchildren.

Her youngest daughter Donna McGhghy preceded her in death in July of this year, she was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers; John Oliver, Darwin, Herschel, Bill, Malcolm, Leland and Raymond, sisters; Juanita Robbins and Alta "Lois" Gee.
