Donald James Wasylk, 75, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka, KS. A Mass of Christian Burial took place 11 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2020, at St. Xavier Catholic Church with Fr. Frank Coady officiating. Burial followed the same day at St. Patrick's (Vine Creek) Cemetery near Solomon, KS. The servers were Jackson and Claire Wasylk. Casket Bearers were Michael Wasylk, Daniel Wasylk, Anthony Wasylk, Tobey Watt, Larry Veltman and Johnny Bass. No visitation to take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to be given to St. Joseph's Indian School or to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Donald was born July 15, 1945, in Rogers City, MI the son of Joseph and Mary (Myers) Wasylk. Don was one of seventeen children. His sixteen siblings were Edward, Elizabeth, Robert, Mary Lou, Richard, Helen, Patricia, Ann, Donna, Joseph, John, James, Gerald, Bernadette, Harry and William "Charlie".
Donald served in the United States Army for 3 years. He was a Mail Contractor for the US Postal Service for many years. He was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church in Junction City.
He married Marilyn Moloney January 29, 1964 in Alpena, MI at St. Bernard's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn of the home near Junction City; one daughter, Susan Watt and her husband Tobey of Abilene, KS; three sons, David of Norton, KS, Michael and his wife Johanna of Junction City, KS and Daniel and his wife Kerry of Chapman, KS; ten grandchildren, Ava, Wally, Anthony, Mia, Matty, Molly, Andrew, Jackson, Claire and Hudson.
