Donald W. Sturgiss, Jr.
Donald W. Sturgiss, Jr., 57, formerly of Warren, OH passed away at his daughter's home after a long illness on June 11, 2010. No services are planned at this time cremation has taken place with the assistance of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel.
Mr. Sturgiss was born December 5, 1952, Morgantown, WV to Donald W. and Maxine (Feathers) Sturgiss, Sr. He joined the U S Navy in 1969 and was an Aviation Ordinance Mechanic until 1973 he then went to work for Warren Consolidated Industries in Warren, OH as a finisher at the Steel Mill until his retirement in 2004.
He married Tamara Bokors February 18, 1977, Warren, OH. She preceded him in death November 12, 2000.
He is survived by his mother, Maxine, three daughters; April Sturgiss of Tampa, FL, Angela Peterson of Junction City, KS and Amber Sturgiss of Warren, OH, his brother; John Fabian of Jacksonville, NC and his sister; Mary Chambers of Naples, FL and five grandchildren; Jeffrey Schreckengost, Justin Schreckengost, Carlos Sturgiss, Kyle Sturgiss and Nicholas Sturgiss.
He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Donald and Patricia Sturgiss, Sr. and one four month old grandson, Christopher Sturgiss.
He will be greatly missed by his daughters and the rest of his family and friends.
