Donald H. Varga
Donald H. Varga, 65, of Ogden, died August 19, 2014 at his home in Ogden. Donald was born August 26, 1948 in Rutland, Vermont, the son of Andrew and Natalie (Colburn) Varga.
Donald graduated from high school in Rutland, Vermont and immediately entered the U.S. Army. He was veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in Oui Nhon, Da Nang, and Pleiku from 1968-1969.
Donald was a member of the V.F.W. Post 11374 and the Post # 207 of the American Legion, both of Ogden.
Donald worked as a government contract carpenter on Ft. Riley.
He is survived by 2 brothers, his twin, Edward S. Varga, Ogden, and Andrew L. Varga, III, and his wife Alene, Odessa, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be September 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at Ft. Riley, 5181 Wildcat Creek Rd., Manhattan, Ks. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Army Honor Guard at Ft. Riley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Veteran's Organization of your choice. As a random act of kindness, the family asks you say a prayer for Donald and all our veterans past and present.
