Donald Massey

Donald S. Massey, 69, of Wakefield, died on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Wakefield. A memorial service will be held at 2p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington St. with Fr. Al Brungardt officiating. A private inurnment will follow at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions have been designated to St. Xavier's Catholic Church, P.O. Box 399, Junction City, KS 66441.

Donald was born on December 28, 1941 in Memphis, Tennessee. He entered the United States Army and served overseas in Vietnam and also in Germany.

Donald married Anneliese Schubert on November 27, 1962 in Munchen,
Germany; they were married for 48 years until Anneliese passed away on October 31, 2011. He was a member of St. Xavier's Catholic Church in Junction City, KS.

Donald is survived by his close family friend, Dorine Royse, of Junction City, KS.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Anneliese Massey, and his parents, Manford E. and Geneva (Parson) Massey.
