Donald Ray Marshbanks

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Donald “Papa Don” Ray Marshbanks on November 12, 2024, at 74 in Junction City, KS. He was a beloved father known for loving his family and community.

Donald was the son of Ellis and Dolores Marshbanks, born on August 30, 1950, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He grew up in Colorado Springs and later moved to Junction City, Kansas, where he established Don’s Mechanical and became a Master Plumber. 

Don was passionate about all things Denver Broncos, KU Athletics, and PGA golf. He was a fierce family man and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandkids when he wasn’t watching a sporting event.

Donald Ray Marshbanks is survived by his children, Donovan Marshbanks, Christian Marshbanks and Shawn Marshbanks, and his stepchildren, Renee Toms and Niko Caraballo. Grandchildren includes Elijah, Marie, Alexis, Jasmine, Bryson, Alexa, and Brentley. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, November 25th, from 5-7 pm at Johnson & Mass-Hinitt Cremations, Funerals & Receptions. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the “Help Honor Papa Don’s Memory” Memorial GoFundMe to help support unexpected medical and funeral costs.
