Donald D. Anders, 56, of Junction City, died July 12, 2015 at Geary Community Hospital in Junction City. Don was born Oct. 18, 1958 in Anderson, Indiana, the son of Robert Dean and Dolores Ann (Woodward) Anders. He moved with to Junction City when he was 2 years old, and attended Junction City schools and graduated from Junction City High School in 1977.
Don worked in the auto sales business for many years, and was a parts salesman at O'Reilly Auto Parts in Abilene.
Don married Betty Jean Schoendaller on Nov. 12, 1982 in Junction City. Betty survives of the home. Other survivors include: 2 sons, Kevin Cain and his wife Jessica, and Ryan Anders and his wife Tiffany, all of Junction City; his mother, Dolores Anders, Abilene; a sister, Gloria Ann Ruhnke and husband Steve, Depoe Bay, Oregon; 5 grandchildren, Lauren Bronson, Lawrence, KS, Kody Busing, Manchester, KS, Maddilynn Cain, Dalton Cain, and Lucas Anders, all of Junction City; and 2 great-grandchildren, Hunter Busing and Lyla Bronson, both of Lawrence.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, Junction City. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Milford Cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home on Saturday
