Diane M. Bishop

Diane M. Bishop, 54, formerly of Junction City, Kansas, passed away June 9, 2010 at her home in Manhattan, Kansas. She was born January 31, 1956, in Damariscotta, Maine, the daughter of the late Ada M. and Albert E. Trank.

She was second oldest of four siblings and on July 16, 1975, she married Dale T. Bishop.

She proudly served in the United States Army as a Chaplain's assistant. She received the SS Badge for the M-16 and was awarded an honorable discharge in 1975.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie M. Bishop of Prairie Village, KS; son and daughter-in-law, Steven D. and Rebecca J. Bishop of Manhattan, KS; and one brother, Donald Trank of Holton, KS.

Diane was preceded in death, by her husband, Dale Bishop; brother, David Trank; and sister, Denise Millander.
A private service will be held Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Kansas Veteran's Cemetery in Manhattan, Kansas.

Memorial contributions can be given to the Geary or Riley County Humane Society in Diane's name.
