Memorial services for Dewaine L. "The one and only Butch" Champ, 66, of Junction City will be Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel with Rev. Dr. Joe Belardo, officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-7p.m. prior to services. Cremation has taken place. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel assisting the family with cremation arrangements."Butch" passed away on Thursday, October 28, at Geary Community Hospital. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Dewaine L. "Butch" Memorial Fund c/o Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel 203 N. Washington St., Junction City, KS. 66441.

He was born in Junction City, KS., on May 31, 1944, the son of Ernest and Alice(Krause) Champ. He attended and graduated high school in Junction City. He married Rosmarie Prokes on October 21, 1972.
He was employed as an Industrial Craftsman supporting the agriculture industry locally.

He is survived by his wife Rosmarie Champ, one daughter, Monica (Manuel) Champ-Rodriguez,. five grandbabies, Madison, Morgan, Michaela, Macie and Mya, all of Junction City, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dean, two sisters, Pearl and Julia, and one son, Michael Anthony Champ in 1991.
