Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Fort Riley Cemetery for Dennis Fred Bastin, 67, of Junction City, Kansas. Mr. Bastin will have a visitation from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Bastin was born January 4, 1939, in Martinsville, Indiana, the son of Chester and Lela (Hoke) Bastin. He has resided in the Junction City area since 1975.
Mr. Bastin was retired from the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post #45 and was a Methodist.
He married Christel Wojahn on July 30, 1965 in Germany. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters Carmen and Denise Bastin both of Junction City, Kansas. He is also survived by his sister Bonnie Sample of Pargon, Indiana and nine Grandchildren and nine Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers and a son Terry Bastin in 1957.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association and left in care of the funeral home.
