A Mass of Christian Burial for DeLoy Budden, 83, of Milford, KS will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at St. Xavier Catholic Church with Father Al Brungardt officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2009 with vigil service at 7:30 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington, Junction City. Mr. Budden passed away at Geary Community Hospital on November 20, 2009. Memorial contributions have been designated to the St. Xavier Catholic Church, P.O. Box 399, Junction City, KS 66441 or to an organization of donor's choice.
Mr. Budden was born June 9, 1926, Milford, KS to Clarence and Esther (Stittsworth) Budden. He resided in Geary County his entire life where he was a farmer and stockman he had also worked for Kansas State park for 8 years. He was a member of the Eagles, Elk's Lodge and a past member of the Milford Lions Club and the Big Band Dance Club in Manhattan, KS.
He married Betty Jo Boller May 25, 2007 at St. Xavier Catholic Church, Junction City she survives of the home.
Other survivors include three step-sons, Jerry Carroll and wife Mary of Junction City, KS, Bernard Boller and wife Sandra of Fayetteville, NC and Joey Boller and wife Laura of Wichita, KS, two step-daughters, Annette McDonald of Austin, TX and Laura Escobar and husband Jerry of Killeen, TX, one sister, Verona Devito and husband Lou of Carmichael, CA, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Boller, Chris Jacobs, Brad Roether, Arden Budden, Mike Budden, Kip Meseke, Gary Luttman and Mike Cleveland.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dallas and Dorothy Luttman, Gary and Joy Shandy, Bob and Darlene Hiatt, Jack Welsh, Ben Hillard, Dick and Alice Cross and Lawrence and Janice Kientz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Faye Carroll Budden.
