A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Church of Deliverance for Della Hudson, 85, Junction City, Kansas. Dr. May E. Pope will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Highland Cemetery. A visitation will take place Friday, May 18, 2007, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel.
Della was born March 30, 1922, in Gay, Georgia the daughter of Willie Ed and Mattie (Neal) Wright.
Della was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Deerfield Beach, Florida prior to moving to Junction City, Kansas. After relocating to Junction City, she became of member of Church of Deliverance.
She married Joseph Hudson, Sr. in 1940. He passed away in 2001.
Survivors include five sons, Eddie Hudson of Waynesville, Missouri, Samuel Hudson of Youngstown, Ohio, John Hudson, Vincent Hudson and Clarence Hudson all of Deerfield Beach, Florida. She is also survived by four daughters, Josephine Bryant and Debra Glover both of Junction City, Kansas, Della Fowler of Clarksville, Tennessee an Vivian Averalo of Mansfield, Texas. She is survived by 56 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and four daughters.
