Delia Rose (Demars) Kiefer, 80, of Junction City, KS passed away at Stoneybrook Retirement Community Center on September 19, 2011.
Delia was born on December 14, 1930 Concordia, KS to Louis "Tom" and Aurelia Demars. She married Willis Kiefer on April 21, 1955, in Junction City, KS. Delia was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, bowling and going to the casino, playing games with her children, embroidery and watching wrestling.
She is survived by her husband of the home and six children: Wayne Heller and wife, Roxie of Junction City; Larry Heller of Junction City; Terry Heller and wife, Sue, Old Fort, North Carolina; Jenny Noah and husband, Donald Sr. of Olathe, KS; Deborah Yelton and husband Gary, of Auxasse, MO, Xavier Kiefer and wife, Cathy of Junction City, KS; a sister, Darlene Mossburgh and husband, Robert of Leavenworth, KS; a sister-in-law Juanita Demars of Concordia, KS, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Robert Demars, Melvin Demars and Leland Demars and grandson Gary Yelton, Jr. of Wellsville, MO.
Memorial Services for Delia will be held on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street with Pastor Donald Noah, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery with Pastor Donald Noah, Jr. officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce which will be cashed for "Little Apple Bucks" for individuals to use at the Flint Hills Dialysis Center for Dialysis treatment.
