Debra Dee "Debby" Kasten, 65, of White City, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2019 at The Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan. Debby was born May 18, 1953 in Junction City, the daughter of Robert & Marge (Malik) Dodd.
Debby attended schools in Junction City.
She was a homemaker; but also worked as a dog groomer and also worked at Riley & Riley Veterinary Clinic in Herington. Over the years, she was an active bowler.
Debby was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Latimer. She was baptized on Nov. 13, 2018.
Debby married Wayne Kasten on December 21, 1997 in Junction City. Wayne survives of the home. Other survivors include; a son, Troy Dodd, Wichita; her mother, Marge Ross, El Dorado; her step-mother, Charlene Dodd, Junction City; 3 uncles, George Malik and his wife Donna, Gun Barrel, Texas, Larry Dodd and his wife Annette, Jasper, Georgia, and Jim Dodd, Junction City; and an aunt, Bonnie Mathis, Lompoc, California. Debby was preceded in death by her father, Robert Dodd; and a brother, Gary Dodd.
It was Debby's wish to be cremated.
A Memorial Service for Debby will 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 10, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home in Junction City. A private family inurnment service will be at Highland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Youth Bowling Assn., or to the Zion Lutheran Church, 106 Main, Latimer, Kansas 66479.
