Dawn L. Brown, 66, of Manhattan, Kansas passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 in Junction City, Kansas.

Johnson and Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home in Junction City, Kansas has assisted the family with cremation services.

A visitation will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Ave. Manhattan, Kansas.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Clifton Hill Baptist Church in Clifton Hill, Missouri. Reverend Rusty Crutchfield will officiate. Following the memorial service, inurnment will take place at the Clifton Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the college education fund for her grandchildren. Memorial contributions can be left at the funeral home.

Dawn was born April 19, 1958, in Moberly, Missouri the daughter of Charles O. and Danita K. (Wilson) Eagan.

Dawn graduated from Westran High School in Huntsville, Missouri with the class of 1976. After high school graduation, she attended college at the School of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri.

She worked as a para-educator for Manhattan Ogden School District 383 for twelve years.

Dawn was an avid crocheter. She enjoyed all of her pets she owned over the years. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and attending their sporting events.

On July 18, 1980, she married Joseph C. Brown in Moberly, Missouri.

Survivors include her husband Joseph C. Brown of Manhattan, Kansas; one daughter, Ashley Brown of Manhattan, Kansas; three sons, Jonathan Brown of St. George, Kansas, Joseph I. Brown and Joshua A. Brown both of Manhattan, Kansas; her mother, Danita (Wilson) Eagan of Clifton Hill, Missouri; one brother, Charles A. Eagan of Clifton Hill, Missouri; two aunts, Twyila Moreland and Gail Brammer both of Marceline, Missouri; four sister-in-laws, Mary Hicks, Patty Tydings, Vancie Brown all of Moberly, Missouri and Shirley Meredith of Clarksville, Indiana; one brother-in-law, James Brown of Huntsville, Missouri; three grandsons, Taven, Taysen and Taigen Brown all of Manhattan, Kansas; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Charles O. Eagan; two uncles, Albert and Donald Wilson; one aunt, Charlotte Eagan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ernest and Vancie Brown; two sister-in-laws, Frances Hicks and Ernestine Palmer; four brother-in-laws, Tommy Hicks, Webster Meredith, Charles "Bud" Tydings and Tommy Brown; one niece, Cynthia Palmer; and one nephew, Robert Oliver, Jr.
