Sgt. (Retired) David R. Lofton, 71, of Junction City, died January 6, 2020 at his home. David was born in McCook, Nebraska, the son of Robert and Leona Glee Lofton. He grew up at Danbury, Nebraska and graduated from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Nebraska in 1966.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army on Feb. 13, 1969 in Omaha, Nebraska, and was Honorably Discharged on Feb. 28, 1989 at Ft. Riley, Kansas as a Sergeant. He was a Vietnam veteran.
Military Memorial Service will be 1:30 pm., January 21, 2020 at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at Ft. Riley, Manhattan, Kansas.
Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
