David D. Junghans

Funeral Services for David D. Junghans, 68, of Junction City will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington, with Father Al Brungardt officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Mr. Junghans passed away at Geary Community Hospital June 13, 2006. Memorial contributions may be given to the Circle A Club, 119 S. Jefferson, Junction City, KS 66441.

Mr. Junghans was born March 16, 1938, Junction City, KS to Rhinehart and Lois (Ellerbush) Junghans. In years past he worked for United Telephone, Sunny 102.5 as a Sales Executive and most recently at Johnson Furniture Store in Junction City. He had served on the Sundown Salute Committee, Metropolitan Planning Commission Board and the Junction City Housing Authority Board.

He married Marie Jampo September 15, 1962, Doylestown, PA she preceded him in death on April 5, 2004.

He is survived by one son, Brent Junghans of Junction City, one daughter, Debbie Junghans-Johns of Junction City, one brother, Steve Junghans of FL and one step-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Duane Bozarth, Richard Schmedemann, Monty Dibben, Monty Godsey, Rocky Johnson, Brian Junghans, Brad Junghans

Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Roeser, Mark Junghans, Greg Junghans, Gary Junghans and Fred Junghans
