Daryl L. Jackson, 61, of Junction City, KS died on April 5, 2017 at home with family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Second Missionary Baptist Church on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
Daryl was born October 15, 1955 in Nashville, Tennessee to Carrie Lou Thomas. He moved to Junction City when he was a young boy and went to Junction City High School. Daryl entered into the Air Force on July 11, 1973, serving 1 year of service and receiving an honorable discharge. After that he worked in Junction City at various jobs around town and Fort Riley.
Daryl married Angela Johnson on June 8, 2008 at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Junction City. He was a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church. Daryl had so many friends and touched the lives of all who knew him.
Daryl is survived by his wife, Angela, daughter, Bernadette Harris of Tallahassee, FL; sons, Jonathan Pagan of Topeka, KS, Jose Johnson-Pagan and Charles Johnson-Pagan, both of Junction City; those whom he called his children, Dana Miles and Christina New, and a host of grandchildren who called him Papoo and Papa. Brothers, Gene Moore, Frederick Jackson and Lamont Hill; sisters, Karin Gayle-Harris, Stephanie Hill, Faith Thomas, Nicole Kennedy and Gloria Jenkins-Hill; Cousins; Robert Patterson, Chrystal Padilla, Tiffany Patterson, Abia Jefferson, Gary Patterson and Lakeisha Patterson.
Daryl was preceded in death by his mother Carrie Lou Thomas, Aunt, Edna Patterson and Uncle, Robert B. Paterson, Cousins; Jacqueline and Bruce Patterson.
