Darrel L. Stanley

Funeral services for Darrel L. Stanley, 81, of Junction City will be 10 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel with burial to follow at Fort Riley Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held Thursday evening 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Mr. Stanley passed away at Salina Regional Medical Center on August 6, 2006.

Mr. Stanley was born June 22, 1925, Fountain City, TN to H.A. and Dossie (Stanley) Kaiser. He had been a resident of Junction City 1963, moving here from New Orleans, LA. He retired from the U S Army as a SFC in 1969 after serving 26 years and receiving numerous medals. Following his retirement he was a self-employed landlord in Milford, owning rental properties. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the V.F.W and the DAV.

He married Erika Bauer February 9, 1954, Weinheim, Germany, she survives of the home.

He is survived by one daughter, Dolores Pascarelli and husband Kenneth of Merriam, KS, one grandson Eric and wife Tami and two great-grandchildren Cody and Nathan all of Gardner, KS.
