Daniel Edward Roether, Jr.

Daniel (Doc) Edward Roether, Jr., 71, of Milford, died October 26, 2003, at Mercy Regional Health Center, Manhattan. Services will be held at the Milford Congregational Church, 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2003. Pastor Steward Smith will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 29, 2003, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Burial will be at Milford Cemetery with military honors provided by HHD-STARC KSARNG.

Doc was born April 8, 1932, Milford, to Daniel E. and Olive Christina Metta (Christensen) Roether, Sr. He married DorothyDon Bentz April 12, 1952. He was a lifelong resident of Milford, he worked and served in the Kansas Army National Guard for 34 years, retiring as a CWO3, he was a member of the Milford Congregational Church.

He is survived by his wife; DorothyDon Roether of Milford, two sons; Bradley Dave Roether and Daniel Edward Roether,III both of Milford, two daughters; Diana Dawn Irvine and Tana Renee Patton both of Chapman, one brother; Douglas Dee Roether of Junction City, one sister; Ruth Marie Davis of Ohio and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son; Jeffrey Alan Roether.

Pallbearers will be Brad Roether, Jeffrey Roether, Zachary Roether, Daniel Roether, Logan Roether, William Irvine Roether, Dan Woodland will be carrying for the late Jeffrey Alan Roether.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Johnston, Jay Christensen, Gary Shandy, Bob Moody, Gene Christensen and James Davis, Sr.

Musicians will be Rita Braden, Organist and Genae Denver, Vocalist
