Memorial services for Daniel E. Shrewsbury, 72, of Junction City will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Episcopal Church of the Covenant with Father Dale Plummer officiating. Mr. Shrewsbury passed away Sunday, June 6, at his home. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., Thursday at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. Inurnment for Mr.Shrewsbury will be held privately at Highland Cemetery in Junction City. Memorial contributions may be given to the Episcopal Church of the Covenant, 314 N. Adams Street, Junction City, KS 66441 or to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindburgh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131.

Daniel Shrewsbury was born November 20, 1937, at Fort Riley, KS. The son of William and Billie (Taylor) Shrewsbury. Mr. Shrewsbury worked for the Civil Service for many years. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge and the Shriners. He married Judith C. Wyss April 10, 1959, Junction City, KS at the Zion United Church of Christ.

Mr. Shrewsbury is survived by two sons, Scott Shrewsbury and Doug Shrewsbury both of Junction City, KS. He is also survived by five brothers, Lonnie and Gary Shrewsbury both of Colorado Springs, CO; Ronnie Moran of Junction City, KS; Mike Moran of Broken Arrow, OK and Tim Moran of Tulsa, OK.

Mr. Shrewsbury was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Dennis and one son Keith Shrewsbury in 1980.
