Dalta F. Clark, 76, of Milford, KS passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Geary Community Hospital. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Monday, January 5, 2015, at the First Christian Church with Pastor Ronnie Roberts officiating. A visitation will be held 3-5 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel 203 N. Washington Street Junction City, KS. Burial will follow the funeral service at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery 5181 Wildcat Creek Road Manhattan, KS. Memorial contributions may be given to the Gideons International 642 Starlight Drive Salina, KS 67401.
Dalta was born November 20, 1938, in Hartland, New Brunswick, Canada the daughter of Hayden A. and Beatrice (Ellis) Melvin.
Dalta was a homemaker. She attended First Christian Church in Junction City. She enjoyed reading, knitting and crochet work, traveling in the motor home and playing with the grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling in later life to Yuma, AZ during the winter months and to visit family in Maine and Eastern Canada during the summer months. Dalta spent time in Alaska where her husband was stationed in the Air Force.
She married Merrill Clark June 18, 1958, in Hartland, New Brunswick, Canada.
Dalta is survived by her husband Merrill. She is also survived by one son, Brian Clark and his wife Jan of Milford, KS, one daughter, Brenda Audiss and her husband Rick of Erie, KS. She is also survived by one sister Lorna Peterson and her husband Robert of St. Thomas, New Brunswick, Canada. Dalta is survived by five grandchildren, Brianna Clark, Marissa Carlyon and her husband Mike, Jonathan Clark, Jeremiah Clark and Audrey Audiss.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Lorne Melvin.
