SFC (RET) Dale Albert Ross, 69, of Wakefield, KS, passed away on August 4, 2020.
Due to current events no services are scheduled. Johnson Funeral Home of Junction City, KS, is assisting with cremation arrangements.

Dale was born on July 6, 1951, South Bend, Indiana to Richard and Marion (Underly) Ross. After high school, he joined the United States Army and proudly served for over 20 years. During his time in service, he was stationed in many places domestic and abroad and earned many awards and decoration. They include but are not limited to: National Defense Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal W/4 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), Driver & Mechanic Badge, Army Commendation Medal W/1 Oak Leaf Cluster, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas service Ribbon (2), Marksman (M-16 Rifle), and Marksman (.38 Cal Pistol). Upon his retirement at Fort Riley, Kansas, he made Milford, Kansas, his home.
Dale had many interests. He was a member of the American Legion Post 101 in Clay Center, Kansas, an animal lover, an avid golfer, a fisherman, and an excellent card player. Above all he was a family man. He loved spending time with family and friends especially kids and grandkids . He was a loving husband, caring father, adoring grandfather and great-grandfather, and a loyal friend.
Dale is survived by his family: two sons, Mark Ross and Paul Ross; wife, Cindy Lou; two daughters, Melissa and Gina; four brothers, Ronnie Ross, David Ross, Denny Ross, and Rich Ross; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters Barb and Kathy.
