Cyrilla Rhodes (Cy), 85, of Junction City passed away October 22, 2010 in her home.
Cyrilla was born May 20, 1925 in Glen Ullin, North Dakota, the daughter of John Hermes and Minnie (Fischer) Hermes. Many remember Cy from the Circle Restaurant previously located on South Washington Street in Junction City. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Abilene, KS.
Cyrilla is survived by four children; Bob Hughes and his wife Luisa of Costa Rica; LaDona Selock and her husband Terry of Junction City; Jim Wiseman and his wife Desiree of Irvine, CA; Doris Fizer and her husband Darrell of Hurricane, West Virginia; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters; Margaret Meissner of San Ramon, CA; Joyce Topping of Sacramento, CA; and one brother John Hermes, Jr. of Sacramento, CA.
Cremation has taken place with the assistance of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. The Requiem Eucharist will be held Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 6th and Buckeye in Abilene, KS with the Reverend Jerry Rankin and the Reverend Frank Holtz officiating. Inurnment will follow immediately at the Columbarium in the St. John's Episcopal Church.
Memorial contributions may be given to the St. John's Episcopal Church in Abilene.
