Curtis Mitchell

Funeral Service for Curtis Alan Mitchell, 38, of Abilene, KS will be held Saturday, November 5, 2005, 2 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Pastor Purnell Redo will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home. There will be no burial, cremation will take place after the services. Mr. Mitchell passed away October 30, 2005 at his residence. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Mitchell's name, c/o Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Ave., Junction City, KS 66441.

Mr. Mitchell was born November 7, 1966 in Austin, TX, the son of Arthur James and Elizabeth (Jones) Mitchell. He graduated from Junction City High School in 1986. He was active in sports and ROTC.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Kindle of Junction City, KS; three brothers, James Ray Jones of Philadelphia, PA, Timothy Wayne Jones of Ogden, KS, and Gregory Alan Mitchell of AZ; one sister, Karen Jarnagin of Munice, IN; three children, Monica Jones of lma, KS, Tony Hoover of Barstow, CA, and Denise Alan Landon of Abilene, KS; and his fiancé, Jennifer Landon of Abilene, KS.

He was preceded in death by his father, two uncles, and an aunt.
