Creola Mae Birge, 81, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on February 28, 2018 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, Kansas. Cremation is planned. A private family service will be held at a later date.
She was born on March 1, 1936, Cairo, Missouri to Oscar and Lucille (Taylor) Johnston.
On August 23, 1953, she married Stanley Birge. Stanley and Creola have lived in Junction City, Kansas since 1973. Creola worked as Office Manager for the Geary County Road and Bridge Division before retiring in 2000.
Creola is survived by her loving Husband, Stanley Birge; her two daughters, Beverly and husband Gregory Edlin, and Barbara and husband Ronald Guffey; son Curt and wife Deborah Birge; brother Robert Johnston; and a host of loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lucille Johnston; two sisters Mary and Thelma; and brother Charles.
