Corinne "Coco" Schmedemann, 73, of Junction City, KS passed away at her home on September 21, 2005. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, September 24, 2005, 10 a.m. at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 5805 Clarks Creek Road, Junction City, KS with Reverend Tim Schellenbach officiating.
Cremation is planned, with inurnment to be held at a later date at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made in Coco's name to the charity of your choice.
Mrs. Schmedemann was born February 5, 1932, Retrop, OK to Ona M. and Clara (Stayton) Dodd. She married Wayne Schmedemann, November 24, 1953, Tahlequah, OK.
She worked for Civil Service for 31 years, working as the personal secretary to the Fort Riley Post Commanding Generals for 15 years, she retired August of 1990. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Kansas Historical Society, she was an avid reader and enjoyed trivia.
She is survived by her husband Wayne of Junction City, two sons, Martin Wayne Schmedemann and Richard Lee Schmedemann both of Junction City, one daughter, LouAnn Schmedemann of Wichita, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one step-brother, Donald Dodd and one sister, Donna Wessel
