Corey J. Boddie, 44, of Junction City, KS, passed peacefully from this life on February 28, 2018.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018, 11:00 am at the Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church, 1010 Burke Dr., Junction City, Kansas 66441, with Pastor Nathan Dudley officiating.
Visitation will be held before services from 10:00 am. to 11:00 am. at the church.
A committal with Military Honors will follow at the Kansas Veteran's Cemetery at Ft. Riley, 5181 Wildcat Creek Rd., Manhattan, KS 66503.
Mr. Corey Boddie was born on May 20, 1973, in Columbus, Georgia to Irving and Cynthia (Austin) Boddie. His family moved to Junction City, Kansas when he was young. Corey went on to graduate from Junction City High School and join the United States Army. He served proudly for several years. While serving his country, he earned the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Medal, and Overseas Service Medal.
Corey worked at UPU Industries Inc. after his service time. He had work there for six years.
He is now reunited in heaven with his two aunts, Caroline Austin and Mable Austin.
Corey leaves behind to mourn him, his mother Cynthia Adams of Junction City, KS; his father Irving Boddie and wife Janie of Columbus, GA; three loving sisters Nicole McLeggan of Columbus, GA, Keandra Burks and husband Jamal of McDonough, GA, and LaKeysha Boddie of McDonough, GA; three nieces Jasmine McLeggan of Dallas, TX, Brittani McLeggan of Columbus, GA, and Zariah Burks of McDonough, GA; two nephews Isaiah Burk and Elijah Burk both of McDonough, GA; four aunts Juanita Solomon of Columbus, GA, Marion Chaney of Columbus, GA, Brenda Austin of Columbus, GA, and Charlotte Morgan of Junction City, KS; and a host of loving family and friends.
