Colon Randall "John" Johnson, 91, of Milford, KS, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at his home in Milford, KS. Cremation will take place. A memorial service with full military honors will take place at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2022 at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Disabled American Veterans.

John was born May 17, 1931, in Glenwood, GA the son of Colon R. and Rebecca (Hand) Johnson, Sr.

John was a mechanic most of his life. He worked as a mechanic at Tripplett's Service Station, Western Auto, Montgomery Wards and Rex's Auto Sales. He served in the United States Army and retired in 1975. He was a member of American Legion Post #45 in Junction City, KS.

He married Gertrud Malschnee January 3, 1964 in Germany. She passed away February 3, 2021.

Survivors include four daughters; Pandora White (David) of Jacksonville, FL, Gabi Paoloni (Sandro) of Germany, Mary Ann Kellerman (Jerry) of Milford, KS, Jo Ann Haycook (Bryan) of Junction City, KS; four brothers, James Johnson, Roy Johnson, Ronald Johnson and Alton Johnson; one sister, Annie Maude Shuman; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Gertrud; one daughter, Barbara McCarter; four brothers, Theo, Carl, Doyle and Randall.
