Clyde M. Hill, 86, of Junction City, Kansas died on Thursday March 28, 2024 at Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka, Kansas.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery. American Legion Post #45 will conduct military honors. Pastor Will Ravenstein will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the organization of the donor's choice. Cards are encouraged to be sent to Mrs. Hill.
Clyde was born August 18, 1937, in Ontonagon, Michigan the son of Alfred August and Jennie (Signe) Hill.
Clyde served in the United States Air Force for ten years. After his service in the Air Force, he worked as a United States Civil Servant as an air traffic controller at Marshall Field at Fort Riley. During his time at Marshal Field, he was the tower chief. He retired August 31, 1987. After his two week retirement, he worked for Top Die Casting in Marengo, Illinois for thirteen years. Later, he moved back to Junction City, Kansas and worked for Footlocker in Junction City, Kansas for fifteen years.
On August 6, 1972, he married Barbara K. Cleveland.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home in Junction City, Kansas; two sons, David Lynn West of Junction City, Kansas and Daniel M. Hill of Conroe, Texas; one daughter, Kellis M. Pierce of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Christopher Graham and Angela Katherine Rendon; two sisters, Joyce Jackson and Clarice Kieselberg.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kevin Keith Hill and several brothers and sisters.
