Clifford W. Moenning
Clifford W. Moenning, 80, of Milford, died Jan. 2, 2015 at his home. Clifford was born Aug. 14, 1934 at Lockwood, Missouri, the son of Albert H. and Martha F. (Witzke) Moenning. Clifford attended elementary school in Arcola, Mo. and moved with his family to Milford in 1949. He graduated from Milford Rural High School in 1953.
Clifford served in the Army National Guard and was a heavy equipment operator for Geary County, and later for Walker Stone Co, where he retired as a foreman, having worked there 40 years. Clifford was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Junction City.
Clifford married Anna L. Johnston on July 6, 1955 in Junction City. Anna survives of the home. Other survivors include: a son, Dennis Moenning and wife Jessica, Lost Springs; 4 daughters, Cheryl Ferrell and husband Guy, Colorado Springs, Colo., Andrea "Jayne" Clark and husband Clifford, Belle Plaine; Shelly Gorton and husband Kevin, Milford, and Nicole Loecke and husband Pete, Rose Hill; a sister, Kathleen Taylor, Center Point, TX; 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Delbert, Elmer, and Melvin; and a sister, Dorothea Flinn.
He will be greatly missed by the family Papillons, Bandee, Rose, and George.
