Funeral services for Clara M. Roberson, 71 of Junction City will be Friday, September 17, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Ave. at 11:00 am with Reverend Audrey Toombs officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 6-8pm at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Clara passed away at her home on September 9, 2010. Clara was born February 25, 1939 in Pheba, Ms to Elsea and Fannie (McDaniel) Roberson. She attended Beasley School in Pheba, MS. She was baptized at Johnson Creek Baptist Church in Pheba.
Clara worked as a custodian for U.S.D. 475. She retired in 2006. She worked at Westwood Elementary, Junction City High School and Lincoln Elementary.
She is survived by her friend James Arnold of the home, three sons, Terry Roberson of Manhattan, KS, Mark and Danny Roberson both of Topeka, KS. Two daughters, Bobbie Roberson of Junction City and Dianna Whitaker of Philadelphia, PA. Seven brothers and seven sisters. Thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
