Chloe Crane, 90, Junction City, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012, in Junction City, KS. A visitation will be held 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel 203 N. Washington Street. Cremation will follow the visitation.
Chloe was born October 30, 1921, the daughter of Francis and Beatrice (Jones) DeBerry.
Chloe was known by all as "Gran". She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A good friend to all that knew her.
Chloe made her home with her daughter and son-in-law for over twenty years. When first arriving in Junction City, she worked at Plaza Tans a family owned and operated business where she enjoyed visiting with patrons. Gran was a homemaker and devoted to her family. She took pleasure in watering her plants, flowers and watching birds and in hopes to see a hummingbird. She also enjoyed watching small animals.
Chloe will be following her family that preceded her in death to home in heaven. Those people are her parents, three brothers, Hadley, Bill and Tom DeBerry; three sisters, Edith Embrey, Eva Bellington and Cliffie Chalfant.
Be not sad, for I am just going home.
Survivors include one son, John F. Crane and his wife Lana of Jefferson City, MO. and one daughter, Rae Lynn Wadsworth and her husband Frank of Junction City, KS. She is survived by six grandchildren, Sean Wadsworth (Debbie), Scott Crane (Angela), Jeffrey Crane (Gretchen), Gregory Crane (Shana), Brian Crane (Stephanie), Kristin Crane. She is survived by nine great-grandchildren, Claire, Aaron, Hannah, Ryan, Chloe (Grans namesake), Ella, Jack, Cody and Layton.
